Here I Am, Send Me Part II

HERE AM I SEND ME
—  2 Corinthians 5:18-20
—  Acts 4:32-33
—  We allow ourselves to define the word “missionary”…  To mean others,  career Missionaries”..  But we think it means others and not us.
—  In truth,  every single follower of Christ,  has been called to be a missionary.
—  Do we have the right mindset for that?  Do we” get it”,  so that we Intentionally behave as missionarys?

‘Intentionally Intent on
being Sent to share the Love of God in Christ Jesus’

—  If we can “get it to live it”,  it will radically affect absolutely everything in our lives.  Our careers,  marriages,  relationships… Everything.

1. Their Mutual Responsibility to
One another – Acts 4:32
A. A Bond Perpetuated by the Spirit of God (Ephesians 4:1-3)
—  When I allow the Holy Spirit to guide my heart and life,  we are bonded to one another who have made the same commitment.
—  They took care of each other,  in every way possible. They were driven to unity.
B. A Bond that Produces a spirit of
selflessness (Philippians 2:1-4)
—  We all need to be ministered to by others. We all need to be loved and encouraged.
—  None of us will ever become so super spiritual that we outgrow this need.
—  What make it happen? First we must purpose in our hearts to minister to others. And,  that is the goal,  the model. It’s a model that we largely ignore.
—  Instead,  we churchy people want to know what’s in it for me. We say,  “minister to me”.

2. The Mighty Results of God’s
work among them and through
them –  Acts 4:33
—  Here is what happens when we GET IT AND LIVE IT.
—  Here is the challenge.
