In September 1990, the church called Rev Stan Candler to become the pastor. Little did anyone know that he would continue to serve to the present time, 30 plus years later!  Rev Candler has now become the second longest-serving pastor, exceeded only by Rev Alexander Acker who served in the early days of the church.

The church grew and it became necessary in 1996 to begin holding two services each Sunday morning.  This began with a commitment from 100 people to attend a service at 8:30.  Sunday School was held at 10:00 with a second service at 11:00.  Both services were mirror images of each other.
